It's Friday!

Don't worry, Erin, I didn't forget about my weekly Friday post, or my blog! Happy Friday to you too, girl!

Guess what?! It's snowing again! Crazy Colorado weather. Should actually make for some good skiing this weekend. Many people are very bitter about this storm interrupting spring, but really, what are you going to do about it?

This weekend is Ruthie's 2nd birthday party!! I can't believe she's 2! Where did the last two years go? I am looking forward to helping her celebrate.

Indigo Girls

Tuesday night Linds and I and a few friends went to see the Indigo Girls at our local concert venue. Although I feel like I've been listening to their music forever, I didn't really know what to expect. Let me tell you- I was blown away! They are obviously very talented musicians (switched instruments between every song), but they are also very down to earth and genuine. There were a few songs I didn't know, but of course they played the hits: Galileo, Get out the Map, Power of Two and Ghost. I am still singing Ghost today.

If you ever get the chance to see them, I highly recommend them! Their music will take you back to the days of casette tapes and good old Camp Wawenock! Oh yes, there was a girl in the crowd with their tape, and she had them both sign it- so cool!

Farewell Winter

Even though it will probably snow tomorrow, I think it's safe to say spring has taken over. The mountains are closed and town is dead. Hello off-season!!

Here are a few highlights from ski season:

Texts From Last Night

Last weekend, Alison and I ordered a pizza on our way home so that we could enjoy a nice cheese pizza shortly after we arrived back in Snowmass. Well, the delivery man beat us to my apartment, so we nicely asked him to leave the pizza on the counter and give himself a 20% tip, and he did. It was fantastic to come home to pizza already there.
We then shortly realized that it was pretty nice that we trusted the pizza delivery man, and that he trusted us. We live in a small town.
Then Alison being the genius Alison is sent a text in to tfln and it GOT POSTED! She's tried several times, and finally someone thought our text was post-worthy!!

(303): We told the pizza man that the door was most likely unlocked, he could leave the pizza on the counter and give himself 20%. He did it-I'm never moving out of Aspen.

Forwards

I rarely send forwards. Most of my friends only send the really good ones. And when I get the ones with the subject "Send to as many people as you can or you will die!" and I usually delete them. But I got this one yesterday from Heather and I thought it was great. I have to admit, I have thought about most of these things, several times.

Thought Provoking Statements:

1. Even when opportunity knocks, you still have to get off your ass and open the door.
2. I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.
3. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.
4. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.
5. There is great need for a sarcasm font.
6. How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?
7. Was learning cursive really necessary?
8. Map Quest really needs to start their directions on #5. I'm pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.
9. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the Person died.
10. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.
11. Bad decisions make good stories.
12. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you know that you just aren't going to do anything productive for the rest of the day.
13. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection...again.
14. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten-page research paper that I swear I did not make any changes to.
15. "Do not machine wash or tumble dry" means I will never wash this - ever.
16. I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello? Damn it!), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voice mail. What did you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run away?
17. I hate leaving my house confident and looking good and then not seeing anyone of importance the entire day. What a waste.
18. I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.
19. I think the freezer deserves a light as well.
20. I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Miller Lite than Kay.
21. Sometimes, I'll watch a movie that I watched when I was younger and suddenly realize I had no idea what the heck was going on when I first saw it.
22. I would rather try to carry 10 plastic grocery bags in each hand than take 2 trips to bring my groceries in.
23. The only time I look forward to a red light is when I'm trying to finish a text.
24. I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.
25. How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear or understand a word they said?
26. I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars team up to prevent a dick from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers and sisters!
27. Shirts get dirty. Underwear gets dirty. Pants? Pants never get dirty, and you can wear them forever.
28. Is it just me or do high school kids get dumber & dumber every year?
29. There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.
30. As a driver I hate pedestrians, and as a pedestrian I hate drivers.
31. Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is.
32. Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys in a pocket, finding their cell phone, and Pinning the Tail on the Donkey - but I'd bet my ass everyone can find and push the snooze button from 3 feet away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time, every time!

Happy Friday!

Well, it's Friday, and surprise! It's snowing! I honestly feel like it's snowed the last 5 Fridays in a row! So right now it looks like this outside:
So instead of doing this this weekend:

I will be doing this!
Haha, have a fun and safe Easter weekend (or Passover). Lulu is coming home and I can't WAIT to see her!!

Ruthie

Last night Alison and I babysat for Ruthie. As we were putting her to bed, Alison pulled her Pumpkin Halloween costume out and asked her about it. She wore it when she was only 6 months old, so she didn't really remember or comment on it.
So this morning I get this picture text from Linds with the caption "she insisted on wearing the pumpkin outfit this morning". Ha, Linds obviously had no idea why Ruthie wanted to wear this to daycare, so I just told her the story.
Is Ruthie not the smartest almost two year old, ever?? She blows me away.

I love Rick's expression and pointing. So confused by his daughter.

Anyway, Happy April! Where did March go??

Don't get fooled today like I did last year by my little sister!!
